Stump Speech vs. Inaugural Speech

When comparing the two types of speeches there is a clear distinction. To put it simply, stump speeches are like advertisements and inaugural speeches are "thank you for the purchase" notes that come along with the product. Stump speeches are used to catch the attention of the people and make them believe that you are the better choice, that you can bring a change for the better. Hardly anyone says that they will keep things the same because things are never good enough as it is. Candidates from state to state giving the same stump speech with minimal altercations here and there to impress the people to spread their good image around. To promise the undo achievable. Now when one of the candidates is elected president they give the inaugural speech. Basically thanking all those who voted for him and telling the people what he has planned ahead, realistically. Unlike the stump speeches which promise seemingly outrageous things to impress, the inaugural speech would give more realistic goals and general direction of which the nation would be heading into. But of course they leave out all bad things that can possibly happen.

Election Day

If I am an American citizen, who is able to vote, I would vote for Barrack Obama. I would vote for Obama mainly because I don't want Mitt Romney to win but also because of the things he is fighting for. Health care is a very important to those who aren't rich and need medical care, and Obama is fighting to maintain that while Mitt Romney is fighting to destroy it. Also financial aid for colleges is also something that I would want to keep. Although I am not a real citizen of the United States, I know that many student pay for their own college tuition. Without my parents funding me to go to college and no financial aid from the government, I would end up in dept for the rest of my life. Obama is a symbol of balance and equality, he strives to make America a better place and not to change things for his own good. That is why I would vote for Obama and not Romney if I am an American citizen.
