Stump Speech vs. Inaugural Speech
When comparing the two types of speeches there is a clear distinction. To put it simply, stump speeches are like advertisements and inaugural speeches are "thank you for the purchase" notes that come along with the product. Stump speeches are used to catch the attention of the people and make them believe that you are the better choice, that you can bring a change for the better. Hardly anyone says that they will keep things the same because things are never good enough as it is. Candidates from state to state giving the same stump speech with minimal altercations here and there to impress the people to spread their good image around. To promise the undo achievable. Now when one of the candidates is elected president they give the inaugural speech. Basically thanking all those who voted for him and telling the people what he has planned ahead, realistically. Unlike the stump speeches which promise seemingly outrageous things to impress, the inaugural speech would give more realistic goals and general direction of which the nation would be heading into. But of course they leave out all bad things that can possibly happen.
